If you have previously installed the entry (contact) sensors on a door or window, motion sensors on your wall, and added the remote controllers and wireless siren to the Gen 2 alarm panel—and you have reset all of the settings on the Gen 2 panel, or you are installing a replacement or additional alarm panel—please follow the instructions below.
Important: Before you re-add the entry sensor to the alarm panel, ensure that the motion sensor(s) has been turned off, as it can interfere with the entry sensor pairing. A motion sensor is always passively active.
Important: If you are re-adding two motion sensors, ensure that both sensors are turned off. Turn one on, add it, then turn it off. Turn on the second motion sensor, add it, and then turn the first motion sensor back on.
Tip: An easy way to re-add the sensors—specifically the entry and motion sensors—is to carry the alarm panel with you (provided it is sufficiently charged) while pairing them. There is no need to remove the sensors from the wall. Place the alarm panel in pairing mode as per the instructions, and pair a door/window entry sensor by opening the door or window to send a signal to the panel. For the PIR motion sensor(s), simply walk by it to activate it to send a signal to the alarm panel.
