What type of battery does the remote for the OSI Alarm System and Mini Alarm use and how to replace the battery?

The remote uses a CR2025 coin cell battery (lithium metal). 

How to install a new battery for the remote

Step 1: Take a flat screw driver or flat dull object to pry the remote casing apart.

Step 2: Pry around the casing to open the whole remote.

Step 3: Seperate the two remote casing peices.

Step 4: Gently remove the circuit board from the remote casing.

Step 5: Push the coin battery out of the battery holder.

Step 6: Insert the new battery into the battery holder.

Step 7: Place the circuit board back onto the remote casing with the battery face down on the round circular indentation for the battery.

Step 8: Ensure that the circuit board fits snug into the remote casing.

Step 9: Join the two casing parts together.

Step 10: Apply pressure to the two casing peices until they snap togther.   

Check to ensure that the remote casing peices are together securely.

Step 11: You can now use your remote.
