Icon Descriptions
When you Tap the SOS button once you will see the following icons.
SOS Medical – For medical emergencies
SOS Fire – For fire-related emergencies

SOS Police (Silent) – For police assistance (silent alarm)
What Happens When You Press (Tap) Each SOS Option
If your alarm system is professionally monitored, pressing one of the SOS icons sends a direct signal to the Central Monitoring Station (CMS).
The CMS will call the first contact on your emergency call list. If that person doesn’t answer, they’ll call the next number.
The CMS will also ask you for your Name, Address and Password.
Detailed Response Scenarios
-
SOS Medical
The panel will trigger an alarm. The CMS will ask if medical assistance is needed and, if confirmed, dispatch an ambulance.
-
SOS Fire
The panel will trigger an alarm. The CMS will ask if there is a fire and, if confirmed, dispatch the Fire Department.
-
SOS Police
The panel will trigger an alarm. The CMS will ask if police assistance is required and, if confirmed, dispatch the Police.
-
SOS Police (Silent)
The panel will remain silent. The CMS will call to confirm the emergency and dispatch Police without audible alerts.
🏠 For Self-Monitoring Users
If you are self-monitoring your Gen 2 system (no professional monitoring subscription):
-
The SOS options will not dispatch emergency services.
- You can still use the SOS buttons to trigger an audible alarm — useful for alerting others inside your home during an emergency.
