So the "Open Door warning" won't go away! We know that is frustrating but this can be fixed and avoided in the future when adding new sensors! The main reason this happens is usually a mistake during the Syncing process of the Contact Sensor to the OSI Alarm Panel. To fix this issue please watch the video below or follow the written steps below!
STEP 1: Delete the sensor you are having issues with
- From Alarm Display navigate to Menu >> Parts >> Detector
- Select the trash can beside the Sensor you are having the issue with
- Select check mark to confirm
STEP 2: Now lets add the sensor (using Smart Life App)
- ACCESSORIES >> DETECTOR
- VERY IMPORTANT (this is a key step) have the 2 sensors together and the ARROWS POINTING each other (see example images below). If you do not do this before the next step the sensor will not work properly. If your sensor is already installed on a door/window, make sure the door/window is closed.
- Now press the "+" Icon on the top right. this will start a counter
- NOW Pull apart the sensors (it should now be connected). If your sensor is already installed on a door/window, open the door or window.
- Change name to FRONT DOOR
- Change Device type to DOOR ALARM
- change Zone Attribute to STAY ARM ACTIVE
- save and then test to see if it works
