If a PIR Motion sensor or an Entry Sensor (Door/window sensor) is setting off the alarm panel even though the alarm panel is in the 'Disarmed' State, please check the following sensor settings and also ensure that you did not pair the sensor as an 'Urgent' Sensor or you did not set the sensor mode to 'Always'. The panel will alarm any time a sensor set to "Always" is triggered, regardless of the panel's state. If the panel is in the 'Disarmed' state and a Motion Sensor or Door Sensor is set to always, the panel will alarm. The same situation applies to a sensor paired as 'Urgent' This is used for critical sensors such as Gas leak, water and smoke detector sesnors..
Typical Entry Sensor Settings Away/Home When the security panel is set to Arm "Away" or Arm "Home," it will alarm after a sensor configured to ‘Away’ / ‘Home’ is triggered.
* Door/window sensors are set to both ‘Away’ and ‘Home’ modes, so they will trigger the alarm in either state.
Typical Motion Sensor Settings
Away If the panel is Armed ‘Away’ , the panel will alarm when a sensor configured as ‘Away’ is triggered. If the panel is Armed ‘Home’, the sensor will not trigger the alarm, allowing for free movement within the home (useful with motion sensors).
DO NOT pair a motion sensor or Entry sensor as an Urgent sensor
