Reasons why, when approaching your home or small business you press disarm on the app, the Gen 2 does not disarm right away

Here are some potential reasons for this issue:

  1. Wi-Fi Connection Strength and Stability: If the Wi-Fi connection near your location is weak or unstable, the signal from the phone to the alarm system might not be strong enough to consistently trigger the disarm command. This could cause delays or require multiple attempts. This is normal, as your phone connects to your Wi-Fi network when you approach; however, due to the distance from your home or alarm panel, the signal will be weak until you come closer to your home or business.

  2. App or Device Lag: There might be a delay or lag in the Smart Life app or the phone itself. If the app or the phone is not processing the disarm command due to the weak wi-fi strength.

  3. Network Congestion: If there is network congestion on the home Wi-Fi network (too many devices connected and using bandwidth), it might slow down the communication between the app and the alarm system.
