If you have the Wi-Fi/4G alarm panel, have installed the Smart Life app on your cellphone, and have added the Gen-2 panel to the app, you can check for firmware updates.

New features on the Gen 2 Wi-Fi/4G model Firmware 2.3.07
1. Weather Display
Weather forecast has changed. When tapped, you will now see the next three days.
(Example: If Monday’s current weather is displayed, tap the weather icon to view the forecasts for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.)

You can now choose either Celsius or Fahrenheit:
Settings → Display → Select the measuring temperature to change from C to F or F to C
The firmware update also fixes this bug: When the temperature is below zero.
Random numbers appear as shown in this image.
If the Gen 2 ‘Recover’ is selected in the settings menu, a customers may need to power-cycle the panel for the weather information to return. This can take a few minues or so. Also please note that the temperature relies on the Panel being connected to the Smart Life app.
Recover Mode: This will reset all settings on the alarm panel. You have the option to keep the accessories/sensors settings or delete them as well.
Very Important: Recover also resets the SIA settings which is required for customers who have subscribed to our Professional Monitoring Services.
2. Style Setting - Located under settings

Top row buttons: Connection, Settings, Security
Bottom row button: SOS, Arm Away, Disarm, Arm Home, Security Logs
3. Clean Screen function (located under the Settings menu)
This will deactivate the touch screen for 1 minute so you can clean the display screen.

4. User Settings
System: Full access to all settings
5 Users: Can only Arm & Disarm
(Master user was removed and replaced to add User 5. The System user now has full control.)

A. Select the three lines to view the users, then select a user to change their passcode.

B. You can also select the user to change the user’s name. Note: System user cannot be changed. A keyboard will appear to allow you to type in the new name.

C. Added privacy protection to the Code modification interface
Select the closed eye or open eye icon to show or hide the password as you enter it.

D. After performing an Arm and Disarm test, the user’s name will display in the panel’s security log and in the app’s security records.

5. Arming Features
Add Seconds, Cancel Countdown, and Skip Countdown (arm immediately)
6. ‘About’ icon
No longer available under 'Settings' menu and has moved to 'Help' menu
Select ‘Settings’ then ‘Help’ 
In the Help screen, select the (i) icon to access the 'About' screen.

An additional way to access the 'About' Menu
On the main menu (this does not require a passcode), long press the ‘Settings’ Icon and the ‘About' screen will display immediately.

This was implemented just in case a customer forgets their passcode and they are required to send the SN to receive a reset code. Note: For security reasons a customer will also need to send their proof of purchase information.

7. Alarm and Disarm logs can now be deleted by the 'System' user.
Previously, the only method was to select Recover in the Settings menu, but this reset all settings on the alarm panel, including the passcodes.

8. Audio
When adjusting the volume, you can now hear the corresponding volume in real time.
9. ‘Controller’ , ‘Keypad’ , ‘Doorbell’ can be renamed on the panel.

10. Entering the wrong code 5 times. Keyboard will lock 3 min.

11. Security: Added ‘Arming requires a code’ option
12. Changing the Time:
Before the Time could be changed by selecting time on the main screen, this is no longer allowed as it does not require a passcode. You must now enter settings to change the time.
13. Entry Notification Setting (When the alarm panel is in disarmed mode)
On the panel when a sensor ‘Entry event notification’ is enabled in the Entry Sensor ‘Advanced’ menu, it will display on the ‘Alarm log’ when a door is ‘Opened’ or ‘Closed’ as shown below.
Note: This will not display on the app, unless the ‘Entry notification’ option has been enabled on the Smart Life app.

When the ‘Entry notification’ is enabled on the App, then any entry sensor that has the ‘Entry event notification’ enabled on the display panel will display on the app ‘Security records’ as shown below.

14. Additional Chime Mode for ‘Entry Sensor’
The update lets you bypass a sensor, so it does not trigger the alarm when the system is armed — but still send you push notifications when that sensor opens or closes.
Users who want some doors/windows monitored but don’t need full security alarm on them (e.g. garages, delivery doors, private entryways).
