If you are receiving to many motion detection notifications, this can be more noticeable during the summer and fall due to the movement of plants, leaves on a tree and shadows.
Here are a few suggestions to help you with this.
1. Enable Human Body Filtering - The camera will be less sensitive to movement that does not have a human form.
2. Enable the activity area - This is designed to frame the monitoring area from your camera's live view. If someone shows up in activity zone, it can detect and record moving objects and then push notification alerts to your phone.
In the camera setting menu select 'Detection Alarm Settings'
Then enable 'Activity Area' and then select 'Surveillance Area Setting'
The Wi-Fi camera 'Surveillance Area Setting' has the option to create 4 seperate areas with more accuracy.
- Area1 (default area) is Red with 8 points that can be moved anywhere.
- To add additional areas, press the + sign beside Area1 to create an additional area such as Area2, highlighted in Yellow with 8 points that can be moved anywhere.
- Area3 is Green with 8 points that can be moved anywhere.
- Area4 is Yellow with 8 points that can be moved anywhere.
- After you have created your 'Surveillance Area Setting', 'Save' you settings.
Note: You don't have to use all 4 area's. When you select the tab that says area1, area2, area3 or area4, the area box will be highlighted with the 8 points.
