Overview

Your Gen 2 OSI Go Direct alarm panel provides clear visual indicators to show whether it is:

  • Running on AC power (plugged in)

  • Running on battery (power outage)

  • Charging

Understanding these indicators helps you quickly diagnose power issues and ensure your system remains protected.

What You Will See

  • A pop-up warning message:

    • “AC Power Lost: Host panel”

  • Date and timestamp of the event

  • “Ignore” button (greyed out or selectable depending on state)

What This Means

  • The panel is no longer receiving external power

  • It has automatically switched to internal backup battery

  • Faulty power supply or cable

2. Battery Icon (Top Right Corner)

How to Read the Battery Icon

A. Running on Battery

  • Battery icon is visible, as shown above

  • May slowly decrease over time

➡️ Indicates: Panel is operating on backup battery only

B. Plugged In & Charging

  • Battery icon will show:

    • Battery icon with lighting bolt is visible, as shown above

➡️ Indicates:

  • Panel is connected to AC power

  • Battery is charging or fully charged

Important Notes

  • The panel automatically switches to battery during outages

  • Backup battery duration depends on usage and age

  • Once AC power is restored:

    • Warning disappears

    • Battery begins charging automatically

Troubleshooting Tips

  • If you see repeated AC Power Lost alerts:

    • Check the power adapter connection

    • Try a different outlet

    • Inspect for damaged cables
