Overview
The Activity Area feature allows you to define exactly where motion or human detection should occur. This helps reduce false alerts from roads, sidewalks, trees, or other unwanted movement.
⚠️ Important Behavior to Know
The Activity Area, Alarm Sensitivity Level, and Trigger Siren options are only visible when Motion Detection Alarm is enabled.

If Motion Detection Alarm is already enabled, the Activity Area options will be visible.

If you are using Human Detection only, these options will not appear unless Motion Detection Alarm is temporarily turned on.
This is normal behavior of the Smart Life app.
Steps to Set Up an Activity Area
Step 1: Open Detection Settings

Open the Spotlight Bullet Camera in the Smart Life app.

Tap the three dots in the top-right corner.

Select Detection Alarm Settings.
Step 2: Temporarily Enable Motion Detection Alarm (If Needed)

If Motion Detection Alarm is OFF (common when using Human Detection only):

Turn ON Motion Detection Alarm.

This will reveal the following options:

Activity Area
-
Surveillance Area Setting
-
Alarm Sensitivity Level
-
Trigger Siren
-

⚠️ You are only enabling Motion Detection Alarm temporarily to access these settings.
Step 3: Configure the Activity Area

Enable the Activity Area toggle.

Select EDIT beside Surveillance Area Setting.

Drag and resize the red box to cover only the area you want monitored.

Tap Save.
Motion or human detection will now only trigger when activity occurs inside this defined area.
Step 4: Return to Human Detection (If Applicable)
If you are using Human Detection only:

After saving the Activity Area, turn OFF Motion Detection Alarm again.

Ensure Human Detection remains enabled.
Your camera will now:

Detect people only
-
Use the defined Activity Area
-
Ignore motion outside the selected zone

Enabling Motion Detection Alarm is also required to access:

Alarm Sensitivity Level

Trigger Siren

These options may disappear again once Motion Detection Alarm is turned off, but the saved settings will remain active.
