✅ Instructions: Back Door - Delivery-Friendly Setup & Monitoring
🔍 What You Want
-
The back door should always be protected
-
If opened → Siren sounds immediately
-
During deliveries → staff can temporarily disable the siren/entry sensor with the remote controller
-
During the day → the Gen 2 is in the disarmed state, No false alarms sent to monitoring (CMS)
- During the night → the Gen 2 is in the armed state, Triggered alarms are sent to (CMS) Central Monitoring Station
⚠️ The Problem
-
If a door entry sensor is set to “Always On,” it triggers every time it opens and will alert the CMS (Central Monitoring Station). A solution is provided below.
✅ The Simple Solution (How It Works)
We use 1 entry sensor on the delivery door:
🔵 Entry Sensor (Primary Use – Alarm Panel - Night Protection)
-
The entry sensor is paired with the Gen 2 alarm panel as usual

- When the system is armed (night / closed hours), opening the back door will:
-
- Trigger the sensor
- Activate the alarm
- Send a signal to the CMS (Central Monitoring Station)
🔴 Entry Sensor – (Secondary Use – Siren - Daytime Protection)
-
The same entry sensor is connected (paired) directly with the external siren
Pairing Instructions
1. Ensure that you have the external siren with you and it is turned on or plugged into a recepticle. You should also be near the door that the entry sensor is installed on.
2. Hold down the set button on the siren for 3 to 4 seconds or until the siren lights up.
3. When the siren lights up, open the door so that the sensor parts seperate.
4. The siren will beep once and the siren light will turn off, indicating that Sensor was paired with the siren.
Siren WILL:
-
Always be active unless turned off
-
When triggered (back door is opened):
-
Loud siren only
-
-
Will NOT:
-
Notify CMS monitoring (no false alarms)
-
Show in app
-
🎮 Remote Control (Used by Staff)

- Connected (paired) only to the external siren (not the alarm panel)
Pairing Instructions
1. Have the external siren and remote controller in front of you.
2. Hold down the set button on the siren for 3 to 4 seconds or until the siren lights up.
3. When the siren lights up, press any button on the remote to pair with the siren.
4. The siren will beep once and the siren light will turn off, indicating that remote controller was paired with the siren. -
Controls the arming and disarming of the siren and the sensor that was paired to the siren.
-
Staff can:
-
Disarm (before delivery)
-
Re-arm (after delivery)
-
🧭 How Staff Use It (Step-by-Step)
🚚 During Deliveries
-
Press DISARM on the remote (dedicated to the sensor that was paired with the siren)
The siren will emit a beep, indicating that Sensor is now disarmed. -
Open the door with entry sensor → the siren does not alarm
-
Complete delivery
-
Press ARM on the remote (dedicated to the sensor that was paired with the siren)
The siren will emit a beep, indicating that Sensor is now armed.
✔ Door is protected again
Arming Test: When Sensor has been aremed with the remote (dedicated to the siren only)
Open the door or if not installed on the door as yet, pull the sensor peices apart and the siren will sound locally only (no CMS signal is sent). Press disarm on the remote controller to disarm the siren.
🚨 Unauthorized Entry (Daytime)
-
Door opens → siren sounds immediately
-
No monitoring call (no false alarm)
🌙 Night / After Hours
-
System is armed normally
-
Door opens →
-
Siren sounds
-
Monitoring station is alerted
-
Event is logged
-
👍 Why This Works
-
No need to use the app
-
No accidental monitoring alarms during deliveries
-
Simple for staff
-
Always protected
⚠️ Important Note
-
The daytime (siren-only) system:
-
Does NOT record events
-
Does NOT appear in the app
-
✔ This is normal and expected
🧠 Key Takeaway
You now have:
-
Daytime (Siren is Armed) : Loud local protection (no false alarms)
-
Nighttime (Alarm System is Armed) : Full alarm + monitoring
- One sensor is installed on the door with two separate functions
✔ This is normal and expected
