How to Manually Add the Gen 1 to the Smart Life App (Updated July 30, 2025)

Important: For this proceedure, please ensure that you cell phone is connected to your 2.4G Wi-Fi network and your Bluetooth is on.  

1. On the alarm panel, Select Menu
2. Select Wi-Fi
3. Select 'Unbind', select check mark, wait until it counts down 15 seconds
4. Now select SoftAP configure, and select the check mark
5. While counting down 300 seconds
6. Open the smart life app (If the device pops up to add the Alarm host, select the X)
7. Select the + sign at the top right, then select add device
again, (If the device pops up to add the Alarm host, select cancel at the bottom as it will start counting down and try to auto install it.
8. scroll up to add manually
9. Select 'Sensors' on the left column
10. Then scroll up and select 'Alarm (wi-fi) on the right Column
11. Your Wi-FI 2.4G SSID name should appear.  Enter your password and select next, confirm and proceed
12. Select 'Confirm indicator is blinking'
13. Select 'Blink Slowly'

14. A message should say 'Smart life' wants to join Wi-fi Network, 'SmartLife-####',  select 'Join'
Note: If it does not say to join the network, select 'Go to Connect' at the bottom, then select Wi-Fi on your Phone settings.  The available network should display: 'SmartLife-####' . Select that network. It will say 'No internet connection' or Unsecure network below it, You should also see a check mark beside it.

At the top left you will see 'Smart Life' in very small print, select it.  Then proceed to step #16.

15. Select 'Join'
16. It will say 'Connecting device'
17. Then you should see after 30 seconds to a minute 'Done'
18. If it displays, 'Device Alarming', select 'Alarm Remove'
19. Now select ARM on the App and the device should respond, now select Disarm and the device should respond, that's it.
