How to enter the SIA settings into the Alarm Panel (Gen 2)

What Are SIA Settings, and Why Do They Need to Be Entered into the Alarm Panel?

SIA settings are the connection details your alarm panel uses to send signals, such as arming, disarming, and alarm events, to the CMS (Central Monitoring Station). These settings must be entered correctly so the monitoring station can receive signals and identify your account.

When Should I Enter the SIA Settings?

Enter the SIA settings before inserting the SIM card into the alarm panel.

How to Enter SIA Settings into Your Alarm Panel

Step 1: Open Settings

Select the gear icon ⚙️ in the top-right corner of the alarm panel’s home screen to open the Settings page.

Step 2: Select SIA

Select SIA.

Step 3: Enter Your SIA Settings

Enter the following settings into your alarm panel. Make sure each value matches exactly.

Setting Value
IP Type TCP
Server IP 64.93.241.218
Account The last 4 digits of your account number
Line 21B85
Null Period 0
Format ADM-CID
Server Port 41821
APN convergia1.com
Receiver 21
Retry 3

Important: Your full account number is located in the top-left corner of the letter included with your SIM card. It begins with 21. Enter only the last 4 digits in the panel’s Account field.

For example, if your full account number is 218909, enter 8909.

If you no longer have the letter containing your account number, please create a support ticket.

See the illustration below for an example of the completed SIA Settings page.

Step 4: Insert the SIM Card and Check the Cellular Connection

After entering the SIA settings, insert the SIM card according to the installation instructions.

The cellular signal bars in the top-right corner of the alarm panel should change from grey to white, indicating that the panel has connected to the cellular network.

This process can take 20 minutes to 24 hours, although some U.S. installations have taken approximately 1–4 days to establish their initial cellular connection.

Understanding the cellular icons:

  • An X beside the cellular bars: The panel is not detecting the SIM card. The card may be missing or incorrectly seated.

  • No X, but all cellular bars are grey: The panel detects the SIM card, but the cellular signal is too weak.

Note: White cellular bars can appear even if the SIA settings have not been entered. They indicate a cellular connection. The SIA settings are required for the panel to send signals to the CMS (Central Monitoring Station).

Step 5: Test Communication with the Monitoring Station

Once you see the white cell bars, to check whether the system is communicating with the monitoring station, arm and then disarm the alarm system.

Each time you arm or disarm it, you should see a small green dot appear just above the white cellular signal bars. This indicates that the panel is communicating with the monitoring station.

If the cellular bars have not turned white after 4 days, please create a support ticket. Include photos of the main display and your SIA settings, and let us know when you installed the SIM card.

Leave the panel powered on with the SIM card installed while we investigate. Please contact us before changing any settings or removing the SIM card.

Professional monitoring will need to be confirmed through testing once the connection is established. We will help you complete that process.
