You can seperate the camera from the based by twisting off the collar ring counterclockwise (highlighted yellow), which is the curved portion in that photo between the base (with notches) and the camera and camera housing itself (where it says OSI).
The collar and housing is made of die-cast aluminum, so it may be a bit difficult to remove. If it’s brand new right out of the box, just keep in mind to not cross-thread as they can be easy to do so since they are made of die-cast aluminum.
If it’s an existing install, the collar ring maybe more difficult to remove due to the weather conditions, or if water/ice and dirt may be in the threads when trying to remove the collar ring. There’s also a possibility that during initial installation, the ring may be cross-threaded, which makes it even more difficult to remove without using large Channel-Lock pliers. Just certain factors to keep an eye on when disassembling either out of the box or servicing an already installed camera.
Once the collar is removed, or at minimum loosened, you can aim the camera and housing to where you want it to be. If you fully remove the collar, the camera and housing will be undone, and the mounting screws on the base will be exposed, as well as the camera line connecting to the cable on the end of that line.
