How do I reset the Arm and Alarm history records on the Gen 2 alarm system & Security Records on the Smart Life app?

This article will show you how reset the 'Arm' and 'Alarm' history records on the Gen 2 alarm panel,  as well as how to reset the 'Security Records' on the Smart Life app.

The procedure is not as simple as pressing a button that easily resets the history records/logs, as it was implemented for security reasons.

    Please note that this procedure will not disconnect the sensors, if the sensors are already paired with the alarm system. A number of settings will be reset back to there default setting,  such as the Arm, Alarm and siren delay time setting, the clock will default back to 24 hrs, Doorbell and System volume will be reset sa well as the passcodes. 

  • Video on how to clear the Security Records on the Smart Life app for the Gen 2 device

    Instructions:
    1. Open the Smart Life App and select the Gen 2 device.
    2. Select the pencil at the upper right
    3. Then select remove device at the bottom
    4. Then select Disconnect and wipe data
    5. It will remove all of the history records, however it will retain the settings and sensors that you have set up on the Gen 2 alarm panel.
    6. Select 'Confirm' if you want to disconnect this device and wipe data.
    7. The device will be removed from the Smart Life App.
    8. Re-Add the Gen 2 to the Smart Life app and you will see that your settings and sensors are still intact and the history records removed.
    9. Please note that you may see a few records from the same day.
