If you choose the self-test option, you can run the test anytime that suits you. Just remember to jot down the date and note your test’s approximate start and end times.
As you can see on the screen, the ‘Self-Test Monitoring Instructions’ link is located right here—just click it to begin.
At first glance, it might seem overwhelming, but it’s actually straightforward. Here’s how it goes:
- Note your test start time.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to adjust four settings. This can be done either in the Smart Life app or directly on the panel. These adjustments mute the sirens and set both the Entry and Exit delays to 30 seconds for smooth testing.
- For your doors and windows, trigger each entry sensor—follow the numbered steps and on-screen illustrations. repeat the process for each entry sensor connected to your system
- Move on to your motion sensors. Approach each one, step into its detection zone, and follow the visual prompts. repeat the process for each motion sensor connected to your system
- Then activate every SOS function—Medical, Fire, Police, and Silent Police. Again, the numbered diagrams make each step crystal clear.
- Finally, note your test end time.
- Return to the Test Request Form and fill out the date, start time, and end time in the Complete the Test Yourself section.
