If the USB-C cable and adapter are plugged into the electrical outlet, and you have turned on the backup battery on the back of the alarm panel as shown below, but the charging icon on the alarm panel does not display and you only see the red battery icon, please check/try the following:

Check if the power adapter for the Gen 2 is hot when you touch it.

Try powering the Gen 2 alarm panel with your cell phone charger adapter that is rated at 5V (volts) 2A (amps), and use the USB-C cable that came with the alarm panel, or you can use your own USB-C charging cable.
If switching out the power adapter resolves your charging and powering issue with the Gen 2, please contact our technical support department and create a support ticket.
