How do I enroll in Alarm Professional Monitoring?

Enroll in 24/7 Professional Alarm Monitoring by clicking the black 'Get Alarm Monitoring' button above. Select the plan that best fits your needs and follow the simple step-by-step instructions. Be sure to carefully review the terms and conditions before completing your enrollment!

 

Does Professional Monitoring work with any OSI Alarm System?

No. You’ll need the OSI Smart Alarm System Gen 2 (4G) for compatibility which you can purchase here. If you have the OSI Alarm System Gen 2, you can check if you have the 4G model by simply opening the back cover of your alarm system. If you spot a SIM card slot, you have the correct model. You can also check by selecting "Setting" on the top-right corner of the Panel. Then choose "About." Scroll down to the GSM section—if it displays "4G: [serial number]," your device is 4G-compatible. If  you do not have the 4G Model, OSI Go Direct offers an Alarm Panel trade-in program, allowing you to upgrade to the 4G model. 

Important: To qualify for the trade-in program, you must enroll in a 1-year Professional Alarm Monitoring plan, and the returned panel must be fully functional and in excellent physical condition, free from marks, dents, or damage.

 

What is the Alarm Panel Trade-in Program?

The Alarm Panel Trade-in Program was designed specifically for customers who own an OSI Smart Alarm System Gen 2 and want to subscribe to our 24/7 Professional Alarm Monitoring Plan (monthly, 6-month, or yearly subscription service) but do not have the 4G model which is required as it features a SIM Card Port, allowing it to communicate securely with our monitoring center via a cellular network. If you purchased your alarm system before late 2025, you likely have the Non-4G model and qualify for the trade-in program.

To ensure all customers can access our Professional Alarm Monitoring Plan, we've created the Alarm Panel Trade-In Program—allowing customers to trade in their Non-4G Panel for a brand-new 4G model, completely free of charge.

Important: The trade-in program only replaces the panel, not the other accessories. When you receive your new alarm panel, you will need to re-add or re-pair your existing contact sensors, motion sensors, and other devices. This ensures they are properly registered with your new panel.

Is Alarm Professional Monitoring available in my area?

OSI Go Direct’s 24/7 Professional Alarm Monitoring service is currently available exclusively in Canada. Please note that certain areas may require a permit for professionally monitored alarm systems. If a permit is needed, we’ll send you an email with all the necessary details and provide assistance to address any questions. We’re actively working on expanding our 24/7 Professional Alarm Monitoring service to the USA.

 

What is the "15 Day ACtivation Period"? i saw it included when i paid for my subscription.

The "15 Day Activation Period" period is designed to give you enough time for the SIM card to be delivered, as well as for your alarm system to be set up, configured, and thoroughly tested before activating your 24/7 Professional Alarm Monitoring Plan. The "15 Activation Period" begins the day you purchased your plan and lasts for 15 days, providing ample time to complete all necessary steps.

 

Are there any additional fees for Alarm Professional Monitoring?

In some areas, there may be a fee to get your permit. If you have a false alarm, you may also be charged a false alarm fee by your local municipality.

In some areas, permits can range from $25 to $50 annually, while others may charge higher fees, especially in regions with stricter regulations. These permits are often required to offset the costs associated with false alarms and emergency response services. Every jurisdiction has different rules, so you’ll need to check on your own local laws. 

 

What types of monitoring are included in Alarm Professional Monitoring?

Alarm Professional Monitoring offers dependable support for intrusion detection, panic alerts, duress signals, and SOS Emergency Response. When your alarm sensors are activated, the Monitoring Center will swiftly reach out to you and your emergency contacts to determine if assistance is needed. If help is confirmed or if we’re unable to get in touch, emergency services will be dispatched to your location. These essential monitoring services come included with Alarm Professional Monitoring for your OSI Smart Alarm System (Gen 2).

 

Can I get Alarm Professional Monitoring for my small business?

Yes, 24/7 Professional Professional Alarm Monitoring is available for businesses. 

 

How do i check my Subscription Account?

After purchase, you will be logged into your customer portal automatically. You can log in to your Monitoring Subscription Account here. You will also receive a welcome email which will contain a link to launch your customer portal.

 

After subscribing, do i need to open a Text/Talk Plan?

No separate talk or text SIM plan is needed—everything required is included.

 

What can i do in the customer portal?

-View Upcoming Payments: Check payment schedules and due dates.
-Manage Subscriptions: Add, or edit their subscription plans.
-Update Payment Methods: Change, add, or remove payment details.
-Edit Personal Information: Update addresses and profile details.
-Review Invoices: Access past and upcoming invoices.

Can I Cancel my Professional Monitoring subscription myself?

No, cancellations must be processed by Creating a Support Ticket. This ensures that your monitoring service remains properly aligned for uninterrupted coverage. We promise the process is straightforward, and there are no questions asked.

 

What Happens at the End of My Plan Term?

Your subscription is set to automatically renew at the end of your chosen plan term. If you decide to cancel, your service will remain active until the term you selected—whether monthly, six-month, or yearly—has been fully completed.
