✅ Instructions: Back Door “Always On” Monitoring

🔍 What You Want

• The back door should always be protected

• If opened → alarm sounds immediately

• During deliveries → staff can temporarily disable the alarm

• No false alarms sent to monitoring (CMS) during the day

• At night → full alarm + monitoring should activate

⚠️ The Problem

• If the door entry sensor is set to “Always On,” it triggers every time it opens

✅ The Simple Solution (How It Works)

We use 2 separate sensors on the same door:

🔵 Sensor 1 – Main Alarm System (Night Protection)

• Connected (paired) to the alarm panel
  

• Used when the system is armed (night / closed hours)

• Triggers:

  • Siren

  • Monitoring station (CMS)

  • Event logs

🔴 Sensor 2 – Siren Only (Daytime Protection)

• Connected (paired) only to the external siren (not the alarm panel)
  
  Pairing Instructions
  1. Have the external siren and Sensor 2 in front of you.
  2. Hold down the set button on the siren for 3 to 4 seconds or until the siren lights up.
  3. When the siren lights up, pull the entry sensor 2 (Magnet and Main sensor parts) apart to pair with the siren.
  4. The siren will beep once and the siren light will turn off, indicating that Sensor 2 was paired with the siren.
  

• Always active unless turned off

• Triggers:

  • Loud siren only

• Does NOT:

  • Notify CMS monitoring (no false alarms)

  • Show in app

🎮 Remote Control (Used by Staff)

• Connected (paired) only to the external siren (not the alarm panel)
  
  Pairing Instructions
  1. Have the external siren and remote controller in front of you.
  2. Hold down the set button on the siren for 3 to 4 seconds or until the siren lights up.
  3. When the siren lights up, press any button on the remote to pair with the siren.
  4. The siren will beep once and the siren light will turn off, indicating that remote controller was paired with the siren.

• Controls Sensor 2,  the siren-only sensor

• Staff can:

  • Disarm (before delivery)

  • Re-arm (after delivery)

🧭 How Staff Use It (Step-by-Step)

🚚 During Deliveries

1. Press DISARM on the remote (dedicated to Sensor 2, the siren-only sensor)
   The siren will emit a beep, indicating that Sensor 2 is now disarmed.

2. Open the door with Sensor 2 → no alarming

3. Complete delivery

4. Press ARM on the remote (dedicated to Sensor 2, the siren-only sensor)
   The siren will emit a beep, indicating that Sensor 2 is now armed.

✔ Door is protected again

Arming Test: When Sensor 2 has been aremed with the remote (dedicated to the siren only) 
Open the door or if not installed on the door as yet, pull the sensor peices apart and the siren will immediatly sound.  Press disarm on the remote controller to disarm the siren. 

🚨 Unauthorized Entry (Daytime)

• Door opens → siren sounds immediately

• No monitoring call (no false alarm)

🌙 Night / After Hours

• System is armed normally

• Door opens →

  • Siren sounds

  • Monitoring station is alerted

  • Event is logged

👍 Why This Works

• No need to use the app

• No accidental monitoring alarms during deliveries

• Simple for staff

• Always protected

⚠️ Important Note

• The daytime (siren-only) system:

  • Does NOT record events

  • Does NOT appear in the app
