The Gen 2 Wi-Fi/4G Alarm Panel is designed to work specifically with our supported monitoring provider and cannot be connected to third-party alarm monitoring companies.
Why Third-Party Monitoring Companies Cannot Be Used
The Gen 2 panel is hard-coded and configured to communicate using the protocols and settings required by our supported monitoring provider. Extensive testing and validation were performed to ensure reliable communication between the alarm panel and the monitoring service.
Because of this configuration:
- Third-party monitoring companies cannot be programmed into the panel
- Alternative CMS/central station providers are not supported
- The panel cannot be reconfigured for use with other monitoring platforms
What This Means for Customers
If you would like professional alarm monitoring for the Gen 2 system, the panel must use the supported monitoring provider associated with the system.
The alarm panel will still function locally for:
- Arming and disarming
- Sensor alerts and sirens
- Smart Life app notifications
- Automation features
However, professional central station monitoring is only available through the supported monitoring provider.
