Can I Add 5 Gen 2 Alarm Devices to the Smart Life, Assign a Manager to Each Property, and Retain Full Control?"

Question:

I am interested in purchasing the OSI Go Direct Gen 2 alarm system, which works with the Smart Life app. I have two main questions:

  1. Monitoring Multiple Properties:
If I have 5 different properties, can I purchase 5 alarm systems (one for each property) and monitor all 5 properties from a single Smart Life account on my phone?

  2. Assigning Access to Managers:
If I have different managers for each of the 5 properties, is it possible to:

    • Assign access to each manager so they can only see and manage the alarm system for the property they are responsible for?
    • While at the same time, allowing me (the account owner) to monitor and manage all 5 properties from my account?

This outlines the process of installing 5 devices on the Smart Life app, assigning each device to 5 separate homes, and then sharing each home with 5 separate managers.

  1. Under Home Management in the Smart Life app, first create 5 separate homes.

  2. Add each designated alarm system device to its respective home.

  3. Have your managers download and install the Smart Life app on their phones and set up their own Smart Life accounts.

  4. Select a specific home under Home Management and add the email address of the manager assigned to manage that home.

Managers can be assigned one of the following roles:

Administrator

  • Has full control over the shared device.
  • Can modify device settings, such as schedules, automation, and advanced configurations.
  • Can share the device with other users (including Common Members).
  • Can remove access for other users.
  • Can delete or reset the device in the app.

Note: The person who initially adds the device to their account is automatically assigned as the Administrator.

Common Member

  • Has limited control over the shared device.
  • Can operate the device (e.g., arm/disarm alarms, turn devices on/off) based on permissions set by the Administrator.
  • Cannot modify device settings or configurations.
  • Cannot share the device with others or remove access for others.
  • Cannot delete or reset the device in the app.

As the main account holder you can monitor all 5 properties from a single Smart Life account on your phone
