The Gen 1 Door/Window sensor, as well as other Gen 1 accessories can be added to the Gen 2 Alarm system. Note: Gen 1 door/window sensors must be added to the Gen 2 alarm system under the 'General catagory'.
General sensor category: The features of 'entry open chime' and 'entry opened warning' are exclusive to our wireless Gen 2 door/window sensors. These features have been specifically designed for the wireless sensors and are part of what distinguishes them in our range of security products. Unfortunately, this means that these specific features are not included when using the Gen 1 sensors. The Gen 1 sensors are classified under the 'general' category on the alarm panel, which allows for basic functionality but does not support the more advanced features available to our wireless products.
