Why is my floodlight Camera light not turning on during the night & how to turn it on when motion is detected.

If your Floodlight Camera light does not turn on during the night, please follow these steps (Old Menu Interface):

 IR Night Vision Settings 

1. Open the smart life app  
2. Select the Floodlight under All Devices  
3. Select the pencil (settings) at the top right corner  
4. Under Basic Setting tab, select IR Night Vision 

• Auto - This setting will turn the floodlight lamp on during the night when motion is detected. 
• Off – This setting will not turn the lamp on when motion is detected. 
• On – This is setting will turn the floodlight lamp on during the day or night when motion is detected.  

Note: Detection Alarm Setting must be enabled for this to work.

Detection Alarm Settings

1. Under the Advanced Settings tab, select Detection Alarm Settings  
2. Under the Motion tab, ensure that Motion Detection Alarm is enabled. (Green) 
3. You can also change the Alarm Sensitivity Level to (Low, Medium or High)  
4. If you enable Activity Area and then select Surveillance Area Setting. Here you can set the activity area that you want detected. Select and drag the box corners to resize the area. Then select Save to save the setting.
5.  Schedule (optional). This is where you can have motion detection turn ON and then turn OFF at specific times and days. Note: Add one schedule to turn ON and add an additional schedule to turn OFF

Lamp Settings - This setting will turn the Floodlight on when motion is detected

1. Open the smart life app  
2. Select the Floodlight under All Devices
3. Select Lamp 
4. Select PIR LIGHT  
5. Enable the PIR LIGHT WARNING (green) 
6. Select how long you want the light to stay on when motion is detected, 5 sec to 10 min   

----------TIPS------------

You may want to try setting motion sensitivity to high as it may be set to low to trigger the motion sensor.

There also may be too much surrounding light causing it to go back into day mode if IR NIGHT VISION is set to AUTO (and once in day mode the floodlight will not turn on at night). You can turn it on to fulltime night mode which is "ON" instead of "AUTO" this way its always in night mode no matter what the surrounding light conditions are.

To set the IR Night Vision to ON (full time) please follow steps below.

1. Open the smart life app  
2. Select the Floodlight under All Devices  
3. Select the pencil (settings) at the top right corner  
4. Under Basic Setting tab, select IR Night Vision 

• Select "On" – This is setting will turn the floodlight lamp on during the day or night when motion is detected.
