In this video I'll show you some of the most effective troubleshooting steps to resolve the Power Issues with the 4G OSI Wi-Fi Alarm Display!🙂

  1. When the unit is plugged into the electrical outlet is there Power? Do you see the screen lit up? If the screen lights up then it means there is no issue with the main power supply. If the screen does not light up then there is an issue with the power supply.
  2. If the display is powered when plugged in and you have charged the backup battery for at least 1 hour, try unplugging the power plug from the electrical outlet. Does the display shut down and have absolutely no power or is the display still working? If the display is still lit up and powered then the back up battery is working fine. If there is no power then it can be one of two things (see below).
  • The Internal back up battery is turned off. Open the back of the unit and you will see a black little switch on left side of the Mini USB Port. switch it to the "ON" Position.
  • If the Internal Back up battery is switched to the ON position it should be able to power the alarm display for about 1 hour when fully charged. The back up battery takes over during a power failure. You can tell how much charge the battery has by looking at the Battery Icon on the top right of the display. If there is absolutely no power and Alarm Display does not turn on then you most likely need a replacement Back- Up Battery.
