4 min. readlast update: 11.06.2023

Problem: If you are encountering any issues with the alarm system, a full reset could help remedy minor glitches.

Solution: perform a full initialization and power cycle the alarm panel and it should fix the issue.

Important: Keep in mind that after initialization you will need to re-add the sensors and wireless strobe alarm.

First initialize: Menu >> Settings >> Initialize

Next, Power Cycle the alarm system

  1. Unplug Power Adaptor
  2. Slide the back panel off and set backup battery switch from the 'on' to 'off' position
  3. Wait 1 minute
  4. Switch Back Up Battery back to the 'on' position
  5. Plug Power Adaptor Back in

After initialization you will need to re-add the sensors and wireless strobe alarm, etc. You can watch these easy to follow step-by-step Videos to re-add sensors / RFID Tags / Remotes and Wireless Siren. Each of these only takes a seconds to a minute to do.

Note: YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO RECONNECT WI-FI WHEN YOU REINITIALIZE

Connecting Contact Sensor from Smart Life App

Connecting Motion Sensor from Smart Life App - If you are adding or re-adding sensors, add the PIR motion sensor last. First turn off the PIR motion sensor(s) (the on/off switch is at the back) The reason for this is PIR motion sensors give off a constant signal and the chance of triggering a PIR motion sensor while adding a door/window sensor could interfere with the syncing/pairing process of the door/window sensor.
