Can I use the alarm sensors in my detached garage or shed?

First Question: Sometimes double sliding windows have locks on one side. if you can, i would definitely always keep one side locked for security reasons and install the sensor on the side that opens. If you cannot lock one side then i would install a sensor on each side. So yes i would use 2 sensors.

Second Question: As far as your 2 sheds, technically 30 feet should not be a problem, but walls or other barriers could affect the signal strength. since the signal comes from the alarm display, try to move the display in the most central location of the house where there is the least amount of walls/barriers between the Alarm Display and your shed but is also central enough for the signal to reach the other sensors within your home.

Using the alarm sensors on exterior areas like your shed is not a typical situation that our alarm is used for though. We cannot promise this will work. Also, it depends on whether or not the sheds are heated. If they're not, then it could be an issue in the winter.

We also may be releasing a new signal booster product that increases the signal reach.
