If you are experiencing the alarm being triggered on its own and possibly the Open Door Warning not showing when you open the door, It could most likely mean that there might have been an issue with how the Contact Sensor was Synced or some other anomoly that may have been caused during set-up. The steps below should fix the issue.

Step 1: Intialization (This will delete ALL your sensors but not the Wi-Fi Connection).

First go to MENU >>SETTINGS>>INITIALIZATION

STEP 2: Power Cycle Alarm Display

  1. Unplug Power Adaptor
  2. Slide the back panel off and set backup battery switch from the 'on' to 'off' position
  3. Wait 1 minute
  4. Switch Back Up Battery back on
  5. Plug Power Adaptor Back in

STEP 3: Delete the sensor you are having issues with

  1. From Alarm Display navigate to Menu >> Parts >> Detector
  2. Select the trash can beside the Sensor you are having the issue with
  3. Select check mark to confirm

STEP 4: Now lets add the sensor (using Smart Life App)

  1. ACCESSORIES >> DETECTOR
  2. VERY IMPORTANT (this is a key step) have the 2 sensors together and the ARROWS POINTING each other (see example images below). If you do not do this before the next step the sensor will not work properly.
  3. Now press the "+" Icon on the top right. this will start a counter
  4. NOW Pull apart the sensors (it should now be connected)
  5. Change name to FRONT DOOR
  6. Change Device type to DOOR ALARM
  7. change Zone Attribute to STAY ARM ACTIVE
  8. save and then test to see if it works
